LOCATION: A residential city street at night.
A young woman leaves a house party and starts to walk home alone. She turns a corner and the sound of the party is gone.
We hear the sound of her heels on the sidewalk.
A shadow passes across the corner of the screen.
CUT TO
Woman glancing over her shoulder.
SOUND OF
Another pair of feet walking behind her.
She is being followed.
The young woman increases her pace. For every step the man takes, she takes several. He is much larger than her. Nothing has happened yet and she is trying not to panic. His footsteps grow louder.
VO
Freedom is knowing you will make it home safe tonight.

The Midwesterner in me can’t help but assume the best in people. But I’m smart, and I’m cautious … so when I’m walking home alone after dark, it’s damn hard not to remember I’m only 5’3″ and not much of a fighter. My right hook wouldn’t hurt a toddler.
I try to keep cool and always hope for the best, but I can’t help taking comfort in the sight of a cop car when I’ve got someone walking a little too close at night. Needless to say, this ad speaks to me.
